Film a great video tour in 10 minutes with your phone

Renters who have watched a tour arrive at the viewing already knowing the layout, so fewer viewings are wasted. Here is a simple routine that works with any phone.

Before you film

• •Tidy every room and clear the counters.
• •Open the curtains and switch on all the lights.
• •Wipe your phone’s camera lens.

While filming

• •Hold the phone vertically, at chest height.
• •Start at the doorway and walk slowly into the room.
• •Pan once, slowly, and stop on the best feature (the view, the kitchen, the storage).
• •Keep each clip to 10–20 seconds. Film one clip per room.
